THE case of a man accused of robbing Steven Gerrard’s home was yesterday committed to crown court for trial.
Martin Wilson, 22, is charged with breaking into the England and Liverpool star’s mansion on 11 December 2007, when the midfielder was playing in France. The Reds’ captain’s wife, Alex Curran, was confronted by four masked raiders and left shaken but uninjured at the Formby house.
Yesterday, Wilson, of Stockbridge Village, Merseyside, was committed to Liverpool Crown Court on March 16.
