- IRISH FERRIES say savings of up to 33% on standard rates are currently being offered in their spring sale to France. This sees two adults and car travel from Rosslare to Cherbourg or Roscoff during the period March 7 to May 31 for €139 each way – down from €208 – inclusive of berth in a 2-berth, 2-star cabin with shower and toilet.
A supplement of €20 each way applies in the case of each extra adult (€15 for a child). A couple travelling by motorcycle will pay €119 each way.

- The latest addition to the ships sailing from Dubai for winter sun cruises is the Costa Deliziosa, billing itself as the first cruise ship to have its naming ceremony in an Arabian city.
Cruise Holidays, a specialist division of Tour America, offer packages on the vessel from €1,129 including flights, a seven day trip around the United Arab Emirates and, of course, meals and entertainment on board.
