Rose Cottage, Hettyfield, Douglas guides at €420,000.
HERE’S one for the grannies – or just for the cute. One of the very few bungalow homes in the Hettyfield part of Douglas in Cork, Rose Cottage, is a new market arrival and will be a perfect fit for the right buyer – most likely a trader downer, but also possibly a single buyer or a couple.
The three-bed mid 1900s bungalow is amidst large detached and semi-detached properties on big sites. It has a useful 1,040 sq ft of space, plus two attic rooms which add a further 320 sq ft of storage or other space, and guides at €420,000 via agent Timothy Sullivan. It main room is a 24’ by 11’ drawing room with bay window, and slender French doors to the west-facing front garden.
Other rooms include kitchenette, a breakfast room, three beds, and a bathroom with shower. It has oil heating, and pvc double glazed windows.
Mr Sullivan notes that Rose Cottage now needs some modernisation, but says the location within Hettyfield is particularly quiet, and close to Douglas village.
