IRISH company eXpd8 is set to revolutionise the professional services software sector with a recession-beating "pay-as-you-go" package for small-to-medium-sized businesses.
Chief executive of eXpd8, Declan Branagan, said the business tool, costing just e1 a day per user, meets the challenge of managing complex communications in a simple and seamless way.
It records and stores every single point of communication from post, emails, faxes and telephone calls to voice files, photography, maps and diary appointments, creating a genuinely paperless office environment.
The software is fully integrated with Microsoft applications that most users are already familiar with and full technical support and updates are also provided.
Various types of pay-as-you-use software has been available for some time, but not for small to medium professional services.
While the software was designed primarily to meet the needs of small to medium-sized legal firms, the company claims it is suited to other types of professional services, such as those provided by architects and accountants.
Mr Branagan said the user-friendly system meant that clients could immediately reap the benefits without large up-front cash outlays.
The system stores every piece of client-related information in a central location, ensuring it is immediately available to all authorised users when and where they need it — at their desk, on the road, at a client meeting or even in a courtroom.
It also optimises billing efficiency by recording every second of chargeable time and all relevant fees as they are incurred and integrating them into a real-time billing system.
"At times like these, for most firms, increased efficiency is the only practical way to enhance and protect revenues," said Mr Branagan.
