Elijah Wood loves working on small, low-budget movies, as it redresses the balance after starring in the colossal blockbuster The Lord of the Rings.
While the 24-year-old actor still considers playing Frodo Baggins his finest achievement to date, Wood is more excited by shorter productions and edgier parts, such as his role as a soccer thug in upcoming British drama Green Street.
He tells British movie magazine Empire: "Everything's a rebound role after Lord Of The Rings, but after being a part of something so massive, on that scale, my interest was to move completely away from anything that big - which isn't that difficult to do, because movies of that scale don't come around often.
"But I certainly wanted to focus on smaller films and more intimate stories, just things that interest me more and take less time."
